Fitting-in is not Fitness. And greater than Fitness is ‘Wellness’!

While there is so much noise about being in shape, losing the extra inches, body shaming, overweight and underweight issues, importance of outer appearance, including innumerable others’, we have a modern age entrepreneur, a Lady Boss, Bulbeer Gandhi strongly claiming that “Fitting-in is not Fitness, and that greater than Fitness is ‘Wellness”. The fever of “Fitting-in” is not just been mushrooming but spreading like a virus across peoples’ personal and professional space; for over valuing God’s gift of life we are often engrossed in worrying about meeting society’s parameters of being perfect, or close to perfect.

In the said situations of chaos today our society needs more people like Gandhi, who could stand up for “Fitting-in, is not the judging limit for any society or a body to decide whether one FITS-IN or not”. Gandhi says it is important to not let craziness of meeting society’s pressure get on to us; for she believes that the outer world should not get to define what’s right for you.

Gandhi rather emphasizes on one to realize that “Balance can't be taken for granted; it must be maintained — both in mind and body. And that’s exactly where she has derived her principle i.e. “Fitting-in is not Fitness, and that ‘Wellness’ is greater than Fitness”. Gandhi further endorses that while it is important to follow general physical fitness and targeted exercises to improve balance, it is equally, in fact more important to stay mentally active to maintain brain health. After all a sharp mind helps you to think — and stay — on your feet.

Whether you are working or not your schedule will always be unpredictable, says Gandhi. You will have conflicting responsibilities that pull you in multiple directions at once. You will travel too much, have late hours and cross time zones: all things that wreak havoc on your body. Your health - both physical and emotional - are critically important. Keeping yourself in mentally sound and tip-top shape is the requirement for being a great leader or a great home-maker.

The regime Gandhi advises everyone to follow for managing metal health includes regular yoga or meditation, socializing with loved ones, sleeping for 7-9 hours every night, doing something creative, eating right and most importantly loving and nurturing ownself. In addition she also recommends infusing concepts that promote mental and physical health into special occasions; she believes it is one of the best practices through which you can pass on good habits to your kids, family and friends. As for her very recent birthday she was seen celebrating the occasion with her kids, family and friends doing core-strength training and power yoga.

“Put yourself at the top of your to-do list every single day and the rest will fall into place”, says Gandhi, in addition she also stated that her wellness regime not only helps her in her personal space but professional too.

Gandhi who is known for turning the Lifestyle arm of ABEC Exhibitions and Conferences Pvt. Ltd into a triumphant and indispensable corporate chapter says that, being the Director of an exhibition company isn’t for wimps; atop the said if you are a woman then it is completely a different story. All the metal that she has proven is considered parallel to substance by the industry leaders; and what’s impressive is that she has never hesitated from giving an equal credit to her wellness regime for all her success.

It is high time that we get on to living and leading a healthy and quality life than to live for pleasing others.

Viraf Sarkari talks about beautiful and entertaining story of BalleBalle-The Musical

Wedding season arrives and Wizcraft is back with a magnificent Broadway-styled musical comedy which combines the popularity of Bollywood music and the craziness of an Indian (Punjabi) wedding.

Lets get up close with Viraf Sarkari on his new Broadway style musical "Balle Balle"

Editor :      What is Balle Balle all about?
Viraf : Balle Balle is a Bollywood Musical Comedy. It is hilarious, heartfelt and revolves around the chaos of love, arranged marriages and weddings. It is modern Bollywood’s biggest original Blockbuster and a glorious addition to the world of family-friendly Musicals. Bursting with color, invention and spectacle, Balle Balle flits between comic zip and dramatic grit as it immerses the Audience immediately into the day’s long affair that is the decadent, colorful process of Indian weddings. This captivating revue has exquisitely worked-out its lavish physical details with the brightest talents enacting the bumbling romances of multiple star-crossed lovers in an exuberant mix of iconic Bollywood songs, sumptuous costumes, breathtaking visual sets and sizzling choreography.

Editor : What makes it different from other theatricals?
Viraf : It’s not a conventional classic theater play but a musical and that’s what makes it different. What I have done before in Zangoora, Jhumroo and Jaan-e-Jigar is all a fantasy space where as Balle Balle is a contemporary style which sets it apart from rest of the plays.

Editor :   What is the idea behind the entire concept?
Viraf : The idea is to create something which showcases our Indian culture through a wedding, how it is celebrated and the fun families have during a wedding. People who are into the theatre business are into it more for hobby & passion including actors, technicians etc. their production budget is very small and therefore very few people would take up theatre as a profession. We have actually changed that, we have hired actors, dancers, crew and cast and trained them, given them employment. Also theatre is mainly seen as a weekend activity.  There are plays on Saturdays- Sundays only. Nobody has ventured out into 7 days a week kind of a running model. We are venturing into this by following a Broadway, West end model by staging 8 shows in a week. This way we are trying to professionalize the theatre industry. Our productions are quite different from what you see in regular theatre. This way we are trying to professionalize the theatre industry. Our productions are quite different from what you see in regular theatre.

Editor :   Which cities/city does Balle Balle plan to tour?
Viraf : Initially we are Kick starting this musical in Mumbai and then later we will tour the world.  For 2018, we plan to start traveling across the world, including United Kingdom, Europe, USA, Asia Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Australia, Middle East and Thailand.

Balle Balle has been directed by Viraf Sarkari and produced by Andre Timmins, Sabbas Joseph and Viraf Sarkari.

With a Bollywood themed production and an interesting story line, it will keep the audiences hooked to their seats guessing the conclusion right till the end!

You will feel, laugh, cry, dance and applaud every moment as the musical unfolds.

With nearly 4 decades of experience in partnering with mega projects across the globe, Ducab is now pioneering its globally-recognized PowerOverFire campaign in India to showcase its fire certified cables for the ambitious Smart City power networks.

Having supplied cabling solutions throughout the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa, Ducab’s expertise includes infrastructure applications across the Construction, Defence, Public Transport, Fire Safety, Utilities, Mining, Railways, Renewable Energy, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, and Marine sectors. With a client portfolio in India that includes L&T, ABB, Siemens, as well as a project expansion of the Delhi Metro (DMRC), Ducab is continuing its legacy to service the Indian market and support the Indian manufacturing sector by importing certain raw materials into UAE that are made in India. The Indian electrical industry secures volumes of its annual copper wire requirement from international manufacturers, and Ducab’s plant in Abu Dhabi provides a full 25% share of this market.

Ducab’s PowerOverFire seminar is a certificate Continuing Professional Development course conducted free of charge for developers, design consultants, contractors, and senior engineers in the electrical and civil defence industry to understand the dangers of choosing uncertified cabling. The knowledge-sharing seminar highlights the current British Standards for Fire Performance cables, incorporating a guide for the correct selection and installation of FirePerformance power and control cable systems, for life safety and firefighting applications. Participation in the seminar was by invitation only, and all the attendees received a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificate.

The Ducab PowerOverFire technical education seminars were led by Ashish Chaturvedy, and Tom Roberts, responsible for Fire Performance Business Development, and supported by Shailendra Singh for sales development at Ducab.

Commenting on the seminar, Ashish Chaturvedy, responsible for Marketing at Ducab, said, “Consciousness about high quality cables is growing in India, a strategic region which is embracing diversified business opportunities with the UAE. Ducab’s specialized range of LPCB certified FirePerformance and fire-retardant cables, branded FlamBICC, adheres to stringent standards adopted by the civil defence and standardization authorities the world over. If a fire occurs, it is often the cable insulation that generates the most smoke, hindering visibility and causing maximum damage. Eliminating this hazard, Ducab’s FlamBICC is a certified range of low-smoke and halogen-free cables. More details can be found at www.ducabpoweroverfire.com.
